Little Puggle’s Song

Introduce your children to the magic of live music with Orchestra Victoria!

by Orchestra Victoria

Little Puggle’s Song is a heart-warming story about a young echidna, Puggle, who wants to join the bush choir, however every time he tries to sing nothing comes out! Set to the sounds of woodwind, string and percussion instruments, this new work by composer Maria Grenfell brings Vikki Conley’s charming picture book to life.

Narrated by beloved storyteller Janet McLeod, this is a perfect first musical experience for young people aged 5-8. Young (and young at heart) readers and music-lovers will be singing and dancing all the way home.

The performance includes:

• A live reading of a giant format book by a children’s entertainer
• Musical accompaniment that brings the action and emotion of the book to life
• Interactive elements for the audience that teach about music and music making

Orchestra Victoria is assisted by the Australian Government through Creative Australia, its principal arts investment and advisory body and by the Victorian Government by Creative Victoria.
