The Shepparton Festival is thrilled to announce the appointment of Kristen Retallick as Festival Director.
Kristen has worked in the arts for approximately two decades and possesses a breadth and depth of well-rounded experience. She is an inspiring creative leader with sustainable and deep community connections. She also brings a sound understanding of inclusion, the region’s needs, and the delivery of quality festival events and exhibitions. This will greatly benefit the community of Greater Shepparton in creating more cohesive and nurturing ties.

Her work as an artist, producer, curator, leader and vanguard for community engagement signals the beginning of a new era for Shepparton Festival. Kristen Retallick says:
I look forward to commencing this role and the opportunity to take the Shepparton Festival in a new direction, by building on the solid foundations already laid by the committee and outgoing operational team. I am dedicated to developing arts experiences that bring people to new places alongside fresh ways of thinking, seeing and feeling.
Kristen Retallick will commence as Festival Director in August 2022. Information regarding 2023 Festival’s Expressions of Interest process and the Call to Create 2023 branding competition will be released shortly after Kristen has commenced the role.
