Fast Film

Fast Films pushes teams of students from Greater Shepparton Secondary College to collaborate in a whirlwind filmmaking experience which culminates in public screening at the Shepparton Festival. This three-day filmmaking program is run under the guidance of staff and alumni of Australia’s prestigious Film and Television department at the University of Melbourne and takes students on a whirlwind journey through movie-making.

Day one – Pre-Production: Teams are formed, concepts brainstormed, scripts written, actors cast and locations scouted.

Day two – Production: This is the big filming day teams shoot their masterpieces of comedy, horror or action.

Day Three – Editing and Premiere. Films are edited, sound and music added, credits, titles and effects are added. Then, at dusk the big premiere happens at the Shepparton Festival.

It’s a challenge, an adventure, and an invigorating opportunity to showcase talent, collaboration, and the sheer magic of storytelling. Fast Films offers young voices a platform to express their vision, develop storytelling skills, connect with audiences and find their voice.
