SIMON MARKS and The Regional Confluence

Beginning his musical journey with an invite to perform as part of the West Coast Blues and Roots Festival singer-songwriter Simon Marks marched forward gathering his loyal fanbase by continually touring, performing thousands of shows both domestically and overseas, while selling over 15,000 albums along the way.

He proudly fronts his new band The Regional Confluence which includes of some of the country’s finest regionally based musicians. Ranging from seventeen-year-old Georgia Taylor (drums) through to 5-time Golden Guitar winner Hamish Davidson (fiddle/banjo) to the highly acclaimed Shane McGrath and Rob Walker (guitars) the line-up combines to deliver a dynamic show full of interaction, humour and musicianship that is something special to behold.

They will perform new works composed during Simon’s week spent as ‘Artist in Residence’ on a remote farm in regional N.S.W (as part of The ACRE Project 2023) along with works from his five album back catalogue.

Having performed at everything from festivals stages to bars, barns, house concerts, art galleries and even one time aboard a sinking ship, Simon shares with his audience’s songs and stories that are occasionally sad, more often funny, though always entertaining. Nothing if not adaptable this singer-songwriters live shows are a true joy be a part of and to be experienced at least once in your lifetime.
