Meg Doller

Meg Doller is a contemporary mixed media artist and writer who has been creating and exhibiting for more than 20 years.

Meg describes art and words as ‘persistent’ elements of her thoughts and life. She creates works across disparate themes, methods and subject matter, taking inspiration for her mixed media, photographic, print, textile and word-based works from personal experiences and her immediate environment.

In recent years, Meg has explored waste as theme and material in her visual arts practice, and combined her photography with new writing. She strives to interpret her geographic and individual place in the world through conceptually layered visual art works, photography and writing.

We acknowledge the Traditional Owners, the Yorta Yorta Nation and the clans whose lands cover the area now called Greater Shepparton, the Kailtheban, Bangerang, and Nguaria-iilaiam-wurrung. We acknowledge that First Peoples have never ceded sovereignty over their lands. This always was, and always will be, their country. We are conscious that colonial laws and practices led to displacement and disempowerment, and that they continue to do so with a profound and rippling effect. We pay respect to Elders past and present, and to emerging leaders. We value their vision and strength that enabled the continuity of culture and connectedness to country.
