Cam Matheson is a documentary photographer and cinematographer born and raised in Tatura and Toolamba but now often of no fixed address. Over the span of a decade Cam’s work has taken him from the Middle East to Africa, Europe and North America documenting musicians in Iraq, street boxing in Kenya, theatre and ballroom dancing in Germany, and life in the some of the most remote communities in the world, from Australia’s Great Sandy Desert to the highest villages of the Himalayas.
Cam has shot documentary feature films for Netflix, the ABC, SBS and his photographic work has been featured in VICE, The New York Times and exhibited at The Hunt Museum, the Sachsen-Anhalt Museum of Prehistory, and the Irish Centre for Human Rights.
