Flesh After Fifty: in conversation

Event Description

A talk about changing images of older women in art.

Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre (MEAC) is pleased to have Jane Scott (Lead Curator and Program Manager) and Ponch (Photographer) speak about the wonderful exhibition Flesh After Fifty.

Jane and Ponch will talk about this project and discuss curatorial discourse and the impact around the construction of images of older women, perceptions, expectations, and the appreciation of the older female form. Flesh After Fifty explores and challenges negative stereotypes of aging while celebrating and promoting positive images of older women through art. Boxed lunch will be provided
